Why I Chose Pediatrics: As a military dependent child, I was drawn to give back for the care I received. What better way than to those who are most vulnerable? I have always been in awe of the resiliency of children. They respond so beautifully, are fairly treatment naive and the impact of what we do lasts a literal lifetime. I love the preventive aspect and it doesn’t hurt that I get to have fun every day. Where else does treatment consist of play?!
